Daddy and Mommy took a vacation to explore Germany, and thoroughly enjoyed their trip. It was the first time they had been in Europe together since Mommy found out she was pregnant with Andrew!
Our journey started in Heidelberg. It was fun exploring the city and soaking in the view of the schloss (castle) above the downtown area.
We drank German wine on the Weinstrasse (German wine road that winds its way through the best wine country in Germany).
Ate delicious German food in Bad Durkheim with our cousins Keith, Lori and Annalise.
Hung out with our awesome second cousins Phillip and Annalise.
Discovered the beautiful city of Bamberg.
And celebrated Daddy's birthday!
Drove the Romantische Strasse (Romantic Road) from Wurzburg to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, where we walked along and through the intact medieval wall that surrounds the town.
Climbed many cathedral towers to get a birds-eye view of each German city we visited.
Looked in amazement at the German/Austrian Alps.
Hiked to get a breathtaking view of Schloss Neuschwanstein.
Made an unexpected detour into Austria.
Said a few prayers to St. Andrew.
And finally, drank lots and lots of German beer. This particular one was in a biergarten in Munich.
