It was a beautiful Saturday and rather than spend the day taking care of chores around the house, we decided to hop in the car and explore! We stopped and had lunch in New Hope, Pennsylvania, which is just across the border and not too far from Princeton. After we finished eating, Mommy wandered down Main Street and Daddy and Andrew walked over the Delaware River. We didn't realize we were going to be outside for so long and we didn't put a hat or jacket on Andrew. His cheeks were nice and rosy red by the time we got back to the car, but he didn't seem to mind.
While Andrew napped, Mommy and Daddy enjoyed the scenery of rural Pennsylvania. Our travels took us to tiny Birdsboro, which is where the Daniel Boone Homestead is located. Mommy can trace her family line back to Jemima Boone, who was Daniel's fourth child and second daughter.
Andrew had woken up from his nap and was eager to run on the same land where his great-great-great-great (insert many more greats) grandfather had once lived.
We peeked through the windows of the Boone house.
Pet a horse that was in the paddock in front of the barn.
Bothered a little mousing cat hiding in the stable.
The ground was pretty wet from the melting snow, but that didn't bother Andrew one bit. In fact, he got pretty muddy from rolling around on the soggy lawn.
And Andrew was thrilled to catch sight of the moon.
