We woke up early Saturday morning to take a cruise on the Maid of the Mist, which takes visitors right into the heart of Niagara Falls. We were given special rain jackets to wear on the boat. It took some convincing to get Andrew to wear his jacket, but once he saw Mommy and Daddy wearing the jackets, he wanted to join the crowd.
Once on the boat, we went right by the American Falls and were surprised at the wind and mist created by the force of the water.
It didn't take long to reach Horseshoe Falls. We were amazed at the power of the falls.
Andrew was a bit scared at first, but he slowly got used to the mist in his face and the wind in his hair.
The boat remained in the heart of Horseshoe Falls for a good period of time, leaving all of us pretty drenched from the mist. It was an incredible experience.
After riding the Maid of the Mist, we checked out of the hotel and headed toward Toronto. This was the view from our hotel room. Awesome.
We made a quick trek up to Niagara-on-the-Lake to see the river empty into Lake Ontario, stopped at a few more wineries, and made our way to Toronto.
