Andrew's Gamma and Skipper take a cruise to warmer destinations every winter, and this year they invited Andrew, Mommy and Daddy to join them. Daddy couldn't go, but Andrew and Mommy jumped at the opportunity to flee the cold and snowy East Coast and head to the Caribbean for ten days.
Andrew's penguin suitcase came along for the ride.
We sailed on the Norwegian Jewel out of Manhattan. Our inside cabin was very small and cozy, but comfortable enough for the two of us. Andrew liked having his own bed and reading light.
The first order of business when we got on the ship was to find a lounge with a television so we could see the NFC Championship game and watch the Packers beat the Bears. Andrew became a little celebrity and met everyone at the lounge. They remembered him for the rest of the cruise.
While the game was being played, Gamma and Skipper hit the top decks to catch a glimpse of Manhattan as the Jewel left port.
It was very cold outside, but the views of the city were pretty amazing.
