Yay! And Boo.

Andrew had his first dentist appointment this morning. He was a brave boy and went to have x-rays and his cleaning done by himself. Alone! When Mommy was brought back to see Andrew, he was happily sitting in the cleaning chair and explained in great detail how he got to spit in the water basin.

Yay for having an awesome kid!

The dentist came in to look at his x-rays and do a quick examination of his teeth. Turns out Andrew has two cavities that need to be filled.

Boo for having "owies" on his teeth.

Andrew is being referred to a pediatric dentist to have the cavities filled, which will likely happen in the next month or so. Thankfully the cavities are not terribly big, but they do need to be taken care of relatively soon. Andrew was very brave and said that his teeth didn't hurt, and he also said that he was going to brush even better from now on. He left the office with two stickers and a package of glow-in-the-dark moons to put on his bedroom ceiling.

Yay for positive reinforcement! Boo for cavities.
