Endeavour Launch

We had a very early morning at Kennedy Space Center in order to see the Space Shuttle Endeavour launch. We boarded our bus at 12 a.m. and arrived at Kennedy around 1:15 a.m. It was a bit surreal walking around the Visitor Center in the middle of the night with thousands of other people.

Andrew slept through the entire stay at the Visitor Center. We brought his old stroller for this very reason, and he slept soundly.

We headed out to the causeway around 5 a.m. Once we arrived, we tried to keep Andrew asleep, but he saw Endeavour illuminated and refused to go back to sleep.

The launch was amazing. Truly an incredible and breathtaking sight. We were so glad we took the time and made the second trip down to Florida to see it. After getting back to Orlando and taking a quick nap, we headed out to Walt Disney World and went mini-golfing at Winter Summerland.

The mini golf course is tucked away in a quiet corner of Disney World and we had a great time.

Andrew did really well and got a few holes-in-one!

It wasn't long before Andrew spotted a big mural advertising the new Cars 2 movie due in the theatres next month. He can't wait to see Lightning McQueen on the big screen!
