Winter Park

Andrew is finally old enough to go skiing, and he couldn't wait to get up on the slopes. The snow isn't great anywhere in Colorado, but we didn't let that stop us. We grabbed our skis and found ourselves at Winter Park.

Our little boy was super excited to ski. He started in the purple ski lesson group, but eventually was moved to the yellow group. His instructor's name was Jeffrey and he was from Wisconsin. Perfect!

After spending the morning at the ski school on the little slopes, the yellow group was put into a carriage pulled by a snowmobile and were taken up to a green run.

We met up with Andrew and watched him go tentatively down the run. We were so pleased to see how quickly he had picked up the basics, and how fearless he was going down the hill.

After Andrew finished up with ski school, we picked him up and took him on the ski lift for the first time. He didn't fall getting off of the lift, and we zipped over to an area of the mountain with green runs and plenty of open space for Andrew to practice skiing.

We are pretty sure we have a third skier in the house. Andrew kept asking when we were going to go skiing again on our entire ride home.
