One of the reasons why we rented our house was its proximity to the beach. We were just eight houses away from the boardwalk and the beach. It was great to be able to wander down to the sand and surf whenever we wanted! All of us enjoyed the warm sun and the cool ocean.
The fathers and sons went swimming together.
Aunt Susan and Mommy enjoyed reading with their toes in the sand.
Andrew toppled into his sand hole several times, but was still able to smile and say "cheese!" when he managed to pull himself out of the pit.
After dinner at Jake's Seafood House Restaurant, Aunt Susan and Uncle Neal headed back to the house and Ben came with us to check out the boardwalk. Andrew and Ben loved climbing on this dolphin sculpture. Ben kept saying, "We see REAL dolphins in the ocean, right?"
As we walked down the boardwalk, Mommy and Ben discovered a souvenir store that had glow sticks on sale for just a dollar. What a deal! We bought one for everybody and hit the beach with our multi-colored sticks. Andrew was happy sitting in one of the lifeguard chairs with Uncle Neal as Mommy, Daddy and Ben swung their glow sticks around and played with them like light sabers.
