Down the Shore

We never expected to go down the shore on the first weekend of May, but with hot temps and humid days, it seemed like our best option. Andrew insisted that he wanted to build a sandcastle after hearing a traffic report on the radio about people heading to the beach, and it sounded like a good idea to us. Ocean City - here we come!

Our little beach baby. He was positively giddy as we were trying to find a place to park. He couldn't wait to get his hands and feet in the sand.

Andrew and Daddy made many trips to the cold ocean to get water for his sand hole.

We practically had to beg for him to smile for the camera.

But when he was jumping into his hole, he didn't mind cracking a good grin.

The Atlantic Ocean was cold! Andrew played a fun game of running into the waves and then running away as the water crashed onto the beach.

Look out, David Hasselhoff. Here comes Andrew!

After spending nearly four hours on the beach, we cleaned up and went on a few amusement rides at Gillian's Wonderland. Andrew rode on his first roller coaster.

And rode on the carousel.

After dinner, we indulged in some homemade ice cream. Mommy and Andrew were shivering on the boardwalk while eating their ice cream, but it was too delicious to stop eating!

It was a fun day in Ocean City!
