Another fun adventure in New York City! Our morning was spent at the Bronx Zoo where Mommy, Uncle Neal and Ben ran the Race for the Wild 5k through the zoo. We had to wake up early in the morning to get up to the zoo before the race started.
While the runners were making their way through the zoo, Daddy and Andrew explored and found a fun climbing wall.
After the race was over and we all had a fast breakfast, we went to look at the animals at the zoo. We saw tigers, monkeys, lemurs and polar bears. The boys loved the fish in the tiger exhibit.
After a lot of walking, the boys legs got a little tired.
Daddy didn't carry Ben for too long. Ben is a lot heavier than Andrew!
We left the Bronx Zoo and immediately headed down to Citi Field to watch the NY Mets play the Atlanta Braves. There's Mr. Met!
It was Andrew's first baseball game. He really got into cheering for the Mets.
Our seats were in the shade and in the sixth inning, Andrew got a little cold. Daddy decided to wrap Andrew up in his fleece jacket. Andrew looked like a little kangaroo joey in a pouch!
It didn't take long for the little kangaroo joey to get sleepy in Daddy's jacket and fall asleep. Andrew snoozed until the end of the game and didn't wake up when the crowd went wild because the Mets beat the Braves!
Following the baseball game, we headed down to Chinatown for dinner and hit Little Italy for dessert. Everyone was pretty exhausted after a fun day in NYC!
