Knowing that Andrew had collected far too much candy for one little boy to consume, and not wanted to keep it in the house for Mommy and Daddy to eat, we decided to try a new trick to make the Halloween candy disappear.
Her name is the Switch Witch.
You see, the Switch Witch comes around every year and collects Halloween candy from children to feed her hungry bats. In return for the candy, she leaves a new toy or book for the child to enjoy.
When we told Andrew this story, he was hooked. He immediately put his candy out on the porch that night for the Switch Witch and was excited to find some new Legos in the morning.
Candy gone.
Happy kid.
Great idea that will be repeated next year.
Where did the candy go, you ask? Well, Mommy and Daddy did eat some of it, but the rest is going up to Rib Lake to be consumed by the hungry uncles and cousins during Thanksgiving.
