Christmas morning greeted us with beautiful blue skies and crisp weather. No one was eager to put on their coats and snow pants to go sledding. There were presents from Santa Claus to open!
Santa stopped by in the middle of the night to enjoy his milk and cookies, and he even left a note for Ben, Claire and Andrew to thank them for the snack.
First the kids opened up the gifts left in their stockings. Andrew enjoyed singing "Jingle Bells" in his new microphone.
Next up, the Christmas tree! Santa and his elves were very generous this year.
\The next paleontologist loved his new dinosaur ornaments.
Andrew figured out how to rip wrapping paper. He's a pro at it now!
Claire got some furniture for her doll house, and Andrew was fascinated playing with it.
No way, Claire! No hats for me!

One of Andrew's toys turned out to be the most popular toy of Christmas, especially for Uncle Joel, who had to be reminded that it was a children's toy. It's perfect for Andrew. There are buttons to push and gears to move.
After all the presents were opened and everyone was dressed, there was a Christmas billiards game held in the basement.
The day concluded with a delicious dinner of tenderloin and crab - yummy! Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!!
