Daddy had the day off, so we decided to get in the car and drive around St. Croix. We went to Fredericksted, which is on the other side of the island, to have lunch. We found a delightful little place called the Turtle Deli and had yummy sandwiches sitting right by the ocean. After lunch, we started driving again and found the Estate Whim sugar plantation. It is a historic plantation that is no longer operating, but has been established as a museum for visitors.
We started at the meeting house and Andrew quickly found a path around the outside of the house that had tunnels to run underneath. He loved it.
There were enormous tamarind trees around the plantation. Andrew liked smelling the seed pods that were covering the ground under the trees. He also liked trying to find the little lizards crawling over the tree.

Before we left, we had to run under the tunnels again.
On our way out, we saw one of the huge iguanas that lives on the grounds of the plantation.
Andrew crashed on the way home and didn't wake up when Mommy brought him into our hotel room. Vacations are relaxing for all of us!
